Clovis North Educational Center embodies the vision that Doc Buchanan had in mind for Clovis Unified student-athletes: to be the best they can be in mind, body, and spirit. The CNEC Athletics program is comprised of a community of educators committed to the support and development of every student-athlete.

In partnership with our outstanding faculty, coaches, and support staff, we empower student-athletes to excel in their chosen fields and reach for nothing but the best in themselves. It is this profound passion for success that drives our pursuit of excellence in competition, in the classroom, and in our community. This intentional development of the whole person leads to lives of leadership and service for the common good.

The success that we have had comes from unwavering commitment and dedication to pursue victory with honor. With hard work, discipline, and perseverance, student-athletes learn the value of pushing their limits and striving for excellence both on and off the fields of competition. Our coaches play a crucial role in instilling these values, serving as mentors and role models, guiding students to become not just better athletes, but better individuals. This commitment to personal growth and development cultivates a deep sense of pride and loyalty within our athletics community.

2024–25 Clovis North Athletics Year in Review

Clovis North had an outstanding 2024–25 athletic year, marked by championship performances, individual excellence, and continued growth across all sports programs.

We proudly secured:

• 6 TRAC Championships
• 3 Central Section Championships
• 1 NorCal Finalist
• 1 State Runner-Up Team
• 1 Top-6 Team Finish at State (Wrestling)
• 2nd Place in TRAC Supremacy (with a higher point total than the previous year when we won it)
• 22 senior student-athletes signed Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level

Fall Season Highlights

• Girls Volleyball – Central Section Champions
• Boys Cross Country – State Individual Champion
• 4 teams finished 2nd place in the ultra-competitive TRAC league

Winter Season Highlights

• Boys Basketball – TRAC Champions (Three-Peat)
• Boys Soccer – TRAC Champions (Three-Peat)
• Boys Wrestling – 6th Place at the CIF State Championships

Spring Season Highlights

• 4 TRAC Championships:
  • Boys Tennis
  • Girls Track & Field
  • Boys Golf (4th consecutive year)
  • Boys Swim & Dive (4th consecutive year)
• 2 Central Section Championships:
  • Softball (Back-to-Back Champions)
  • Boys Golf (Back-to-Back Champions)
• Boys Track & Field – State Runners-Up for the second straight year
  • 3 Individual State Champions in:
    • Discus
    • Shot Put
    • 1600m
